Fred & Zena accepted Christ on May 9, 1993 and were married on May 15, 1993 at 'Greater Mt. Zion Holiness Church in Hau'ula and made that their church. In October of 2002, they moved from Hau’ula to Waimanalo, which is Zena's home town. They attended Hope Chapel Olomana and planted "Hope Chapel Waimanalo" in February 20, 2004. And in 2009 the church name was changed to "Joyful Community Church Waimanalo".

In 2014 Fred & Zena were Interim Pastors of "Maui Jesus Saves Ministries" in Pukalani, of which they now oversee. Then they were called to move to Maui in June 2016, and have passed the torch of "Joyful Community Church Waimanalo" to a Son in the Lord, and now oversee that ministry also. So Fred & Zena planted "Joyful Community Church Maui" along with their children and several faithful friends on January 8, 2017. Then in January of 2018, Fred founded an organization called the "Kingdom United Pentecostals Action Alliance" or in short...KUPAA.
